If you guys didn't know, I recently joined the @cbusfoodbloggers group, which is an awesome community full of bloggers who are all located here in Columbus, Ohio. Our group was invited to a feast by the owner, Yianni; to help him celebrate 28 years of being in business. During this celebration we feasted on authentic Greek food, learned about his menu, watched live belly dancing, and discovered the meaning behind the beautifully painted murals on his walls.

Yianni prides himself on his flavors. He believes that having the right flavor is what makes his Greek dishes so unique. And his flavors are ones you won't forget. [I know I haven't forgotten]. I'm still missing/craving/needing his Strawberry Cheesecake Baklava [picture at the end of this post, so I leave you in suspense].

the menu

We tried the dip platter which comes with three dip goodies of your choice. All were different in their own way and filled with so much flavor. The three dips made a great team, but I think the MVP was definitely the Greek Fire Feta Dip [in my opinion]. But I had no complaints with the others, they all played their part, and they played it well.

Next we tried several other dishes. Guys guess what!? You can get a little bit of all these dishes on ONE plate during the month of August! Yum!

Here we have the Opa Opa!
This August Special is inspired by Yianni's 28th anniversary of being open. So he is offering this plate for only $12.95 to his customers during the month of August! Such a great deal. But, as we know August can't last forever... [sad face]. However, his food and flavors will still be around, and are definitely worth making the trip no matter what month it is.

Want to know the stories behind Yianni's murals? Well... you'll have to go check out his restaurant and ask Yianni yourself. But I will tell you this, Yianni only had one person paint all of his murals, and that person only used one paint brush to paint everything [if that's not cool, than I don't know what is].
Picture
Definitely go give this place a try, the hospitality, Greek flavors,
and painted murals will have you feeling like you're in Greece!
