I was recently invited to checkout the new Canopy by Hilton hotel in the Short North. I sampled, sipped, toured, and learned all about the new establishment! It's expected to be more than just a hotel, it's going to be a place where locals can hangout and enjoy themselves in a upbeat atmotsphere.
So what does the Canopy Hotel have to do with the Central Market House? It's a restaurant with a fun vibe inside of the hotel. Their menu is full of local influences and seasonal flavors, and features a flexitarian menu of local and healthy options.
The Canopy Hotel, brought Executive Chef, Tripp Mauldin to Columbus because of his skills and expertise in creating thoughtful, locally sourced cuisine with a flair.
After sipping on delicious cocktails from the trendy sleek bar inside Central Market House, we were given a tour around the rest of the hotel. During the tour, we got to see some of the rooms, event spaces, and lounge areas. You guys, so many lounge areas I seriously forget how many they actually had. But each one was different and brought a different vibe. Coolest part, those lounge areas aren't just for the guests staying at the hotel, they're for the locals too. The vision of the Canopy was to be able to contribute to the Short North food, drink, nightlife, and community scene. So whether you just want to stop by for just a drink and sip it on one of the several patios, or grab a bite to eat with friends, there is a lot to do for everyone.
Something even bigger is happening
While you're waiting for the rooftop hot spot to open, you should definitely go check out the Central Market House or at least stop by their bar in the mean time! Let them know I sent you when ya go! Cheers!
